Edgewater Park: 2024 Hope Spot Festival

Join your community at Edgewater Park in downtown Dunedin to celebrate the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot! Ocean exhibitors will be highlighting our special waters during this eco-friendly event alongside exhibitors and vendors offering food, drinks, live music, hands-on activities and educational experiences.   

The goal for the festival is to obtain another Zero Waste Event!  All exhibitors and vendors are helping to achieve this goal.  And, you can too!  By dining or shopping at the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot Festival, attendees are supporting local, sustainable businesses and a shared mission to minimize waste and eliminate unnecessary plastics from our oceans and our planet.  Remember to bring your reusable water bottle!

Dunedin Mardi Gras

Get ready for one of the most anticipated events of the year as Dunedin Mardi Gras takes over Downtown on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 from 1 to 10 p.m. This family-friendly annual celebration promises a day filled with food, drinks, music, and a spectacular parade featuring vibrant floats. The streets of Douglas and Main will be transformed into a pedestrian-friendly zone, creating ample space for everyone to revel in the festivities. 

Why head to New Orleans when the heart of Mardi Gras beats right here in Dunedin? Come on February 10, 2023, for a grand celebration that spans Pioneer Park, Main Street, and Broadway. Discover talented bands and solo performers on multiple stages, all contributing to the lively atmosphere. The 2025 Dunedin Highland Games are on the horizon. This year promises to be bigger and better with Pipe Bands, Highland Dancers, and Athletes from around the world. Come on out and enjoy a day filled with music, dance, food and drink imported from Bonnie Scotland directly to Dunedin.
General Admission $20 in advance and $25 at the gate 
Kids 12 and under are free with paying adult

Dunedin Goes Carting Christmas Parade

How to Participate:
Secure your spot by making a $20 registration donation. All proceeds will directly benefit our local veterans through the VFW community outreach programs.
Register on Eventbrite and print your ticket, affixing it to your windshield in advance.
Ensure your Eventbrite receipt with the QR code is visible on your windshield for entry to the VFW parking/staging lot.
Contest & Prizes:
Join the holiday fun by decorating your cart! Contest judging takes place in the staging area from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Winners will be announced on our Facebook page by 12/18/2023. To be eligible, make sure your registration is printed, affixed, and visible.
Prizes include a fantastic prize pack from Dunedin Goes Carting and contributions from generous local businesses!
Parade Route:
The route begins at VFW Post 2550 and concludes at Mease Manor (Orange Ave/Virginia St).
Event Schedule:
5:00 PM – 7:30 PM: Staging at VFW parking lot with music, food, drinks, and a surprise visit from Santa and Buddy the Elf!
7:30 PM: Carts begin to leave the VFW lot via Douglas Ave.
Reminders:
No throwing items from carts or confetti cannons.
Designate a sober driver for a safe and joyful celebration.

Dunedin Municipal Cemetery: Wreaths Across America Day

Wreaths Across America Day will be recognized at the Dunedin Municipal Cemetery to remember and honor our Veterans through the laying of  “Remembrance Wreaths” on the graves of local veterans.
