Caledonia Brewery: Bonsai & Brews
Grab a brew, and create your own bonsai tree with local bonsai artists.
No experience or tools are required – just come ready for some hands-on fun that will leave everyone feeling creative as they form their own little tree from scratch.
Hosted with Caledonia Brewing, located in the historic Dunedin Times Building on Main St in Dunedin. Caledonia features 15-20 house-brewed craft beers as well as local guest taps, cider, and wine.
Bonsai and Brews is the perfect introduction to the art of bonsai! You will be working with tropical species, which are hardy enough that you can keep them indoors or outdoor. After a brief history of bonsai, you will go over basic care and maintenance techniques. Then you’ll learn how to pot, prune and style your new bonsai tree, so you can love it for many years to come!
This is a great opportunity to learn a little about bonsai and get some hands-on instruction from our experts, with plenty of delicious craft beer on hand to enjoy!
